Paddler and surfer. Winner of local and international paddling competitions in sports such as Cayuco (Panamanian paddling competition), SUP (Stand Up Paddle), and Outrigger Canoes. International competitions include New York Liberty Challenge, California, and Florida. Competitions in Outrigger: M2O – Hawaii 55 km (downwind competition). About 10 years of organizing and helping organize more than 60 private and national races. Chris was the president of the Board of Directors of CREBA, the organizing committee for the Ocean to Ocean Cayuco Race in Panama. Owner, designer, and builder for ISTMO OUTRIGGER (outrigger canoes) only builder in the region. Activist, trying to create a cultural bridge between the paddling community and the native/indigenous people in Panama, integrating and learning about the ancestral roots of cayuco and incorporating them with the city paddlers and cayuco sport.

Paddler, surfer and kitesurfer. 20 years in the water sports industry as an athlete, personal trainer, and sports administrator. Winner of local and international paddle sports, such as Cayuco and SUP (Stand Up Paddle). International: 1st Panamanian SUP athlete to earn 2 medals for Panama in the Olimpic Cycle in Chile, medalist in the M2O Hawaiian SUP Race 55km downwind race. Almost 10 years of organizing sports events at national and private events. Worked and volunteered for the Panamanian Surf Association, Kite Surf Association, Sea Masters Sailing Academy, Wakeboard and Waterski Club, CREBA (Cayuco Race Organizing Committee), Panamanian Olympic Committee, Nike, Royal Caribbean cruise line, and others. Currently, the Ocean Reef Water Sports Center Director at Ocean Reef, Panama, in Punta Pacifica.

Certified Athletic Trainer (rehab, care, and prevention of athletic injuries) since the year 2000 and NATA member. Work experience at the FIFA WORLD CUP in 2006 in Germany as well as the UEFA EUROCUP in Switzerland in 2008 and the Miami Tennis Open for 8 years. Master’s degree in Sports Administration from INEF in Madrid, Spain. In Panama and Latin America had the
opportunity to work in marketing for sports brands such as Adidas and New Balance and was a CREBA volunteer for several Cayuco seasons. Sports experience in the USA since the 1990s
in land sports and moved to Panama in 2009, where started participating in water sports, such as Cayuco, SUP, and Outrigger Canoes. Panamanian delegate and paddler at International Va’a Federation World Championship in Tahiti and Australia, as well as Pan-American Va’a Championships in Brasil and Chile.
